Meet Padraic......

This little fellow spent the Summer guarding my wife's flowers in our front garden. But with the colder weather approaching, it is time to tuck him away until he is needed for next Summer's duties.
However, he looked so nice in the sunlight on the table on the back pergola, that I thought he deserved to have his portrait done. So this is the result, and we look forward to his appearance in our garden again next year....

Dried Money Plant Bouquet.....

Last week, our neighbor Terri stopped over and dropped off a whole bunch of these dried flowers or plants. At the time I was busy doing something else and did not pay much attention. However, a couple of nights ago, I decided to see what I could do with them, and this is the result. It is a bit minimalistic and at first I shot it in colour. However, for me, I really prefer the Black & White rendition. Hopefully someone else will enjoy it as well....

This One's for Eddie........

Occasionally, when I make an image, it is not until after I have made a large print of it, that I realize that it would probably look not too bad as a Black & White image also.
Such was the case with this one, and I decided to post it on here, and if there is still anyone who has the time to spend looking at my stuff, hopefully they will enjoy it a bit. The colour version is posted on my other site, as a little tribute to my sadly late photography mentor and friend, Ed Eng, of North Bay, Ont.. We had a lot of fun together at the many Photo Group meetings we attended, and there was no judging, or scoring....just appreciating and learning the craft from each other. Hope you enjoy it a wee bit.....

Old Dad's Violin & Junk Store Vase....

This image is a black & white version of a coloured poster that I made tonight. Full size, it is printed on Epson's Ultra Premium Lustre photo paper, 17 x 22 inches, and it looks quite lovely. However, I decided for this site, I would give it a go in monochrome, and I quite like it that way also. The message speaks for itself....
Hope you enjoy.....

Horseshoes to Start 2017.....

This image is actually a reposting of an image I posted back in 2012, but I thought I would start the New Year out with this same image, only it is a bit gnarlier than the last one. The way things are going, we will need a few horseshoes to help out with things in the future. It might be easier to just post these B&W images along with the colour ones on my other blog site, and just maintain the one site. But if there are still any folks who prefer looking a B&W images only, then this site might still have some use. So if there are still any visitors to this site.....lots of luck in 2017! Stay tuned.....
