Coal Dust on Blossoms??

Well, it has been many moons since I last posted on this site. But I figured there might still be the odd person who bothers to check on it from time to time. So this one is for whomever is patient enough to keep checking back here.
This image is from a fruit tree that was growing in our back yard a few years ago. I can't remember if it was an apple or cherry tree....no way am I a botanist! Anyway, I converted it from colour to Black and White just to see if I might like it or not, and as it turns out, I do. Then I decided to add a little something to it to make it look like it has a bit more texture to it, and after using a Photoshop filter I decided that it looked like it was covered with some very fine particles of coal. It somehow brought back childhood memories of when our home was heated with a wood/coal stove and on very windy days when there was a strong downdraft, things would get coal dust all over. The women especially would be really put out if they had their clothes on the line, and when they were brought inside at the end of the day, they would be all covered in coal dust! That was not conducive to a good mood for anyone afterward. So..... there you have it. My rendition of coal dust on blossoms.....
