This morning, my friend Frank and I went for a bike ride along the Windsor waterfront. It had been over a year since the last time I had ridden my bike, and it feels like it tonight. Just before we were about to leave, this structure caught my eye, and I decided to try a few shots from various angles. This one is back lit, and somehow I was able to hide the direct sunlight behind this piece of art without getting any annoying light flares. It is an assemblage of wheels and gears situated near an old steam locomotive. I did a few shots with the locomotive included, but I sort of liked this one as a stand alone image. This black and white conversion was done in Photoshop, but one day in the not too distant future, I hope to revisit this sculpture again with my RB67 medium format camera, loaded with some black and white film. The image comparisons will hopefully be interesting also. Hope you like it.
